Been working on this project since January 12th of this year, and just finished yesterday, on August 24th! It has been a crazy journey throughout the project. I started off by claiming the Miracalis ruins, and then I cleared out every single house, every single tree, and took down the huge wall which surrounded the entire town. I then built the outer walls, dug out the courtyard, then made the moats and finally the keep itself. It's hard to say just how many hundreds of hours I've spent on this project, but, I am really happy with how it turned out. And will probably be coming back and adding more to it in a few years. I haved loved working on this, even though it took up a lot of time, and wasn't always fun, I continued pushing myself to finish it, and am happy with the results! Though, if you are wondering about the blandness of the build, there is a reason for that. This being such a huge project, it was hard to add a lot of detail without it taking even longer. Not to mention the plan for this town was always to lean more for military use, rather than for looks. Though, I can achieve both good looks, while maintaining a battle-efficient structure, it would just take time, and will be something that I will leave for later whenever I return to Loka.
I would also like to thank the people who helped me along the way.
Thank you ZI000, for helping tear down Miracalis. Things would have taken way longer, and been way more boring, had you not been there in the early parts of the project to help, and be someone I could talk to when I was going insane with bordom.
Thank you Silent, and Diego, for supplying a TON of stone for the later parts of the project. Gathering that much stone by myself would have made things go a lot slower.
Thank you MyNameAintGali, Deathwolf, The_Iron_Empire and Willinath, for helping build the town here and there, and being willing to take a bit of that weight off my shoulders.
And thank you to everyone who helped keep the town alive when it was inactive, and also to anyone that helped who I may have missed.
Here are pictures of the build! Will post updates in the future whenever I come back to Loka and continue on the project!
There is much to explore in the town. I would post images of the interior, but, sadly the file sizes are too large. So, I will just leave the coords for Thunderhold here.
X= 5319 Z= 1744 Ancient Forest of Ascalon. Follow the moat along the wall until you find the gate.
Will be killing the town in a few days, and wont be claiming it again for a long while, so, you all will have plenty of opportunities to go and explore it. May even leave some hidden goodies for anyone willing to look!
