Ok first of all yeah yeah Eldritch/Hilo/Factions, I suck at PvP, etc etc. Now that that's outta the way, we say that Ancient Ingots cost a lot. 3 dia=1 ancient ingot. 4 emerald. 6 lapis blocks. Not much but when armor dies really quickly after 10 hits then you end up using 4-8 ingots in a real fight. that's 12-24 dia. It adds up per person making a simple 3v3 cost 72 dia. Now I don't know if you've been mining on Loka but one does not get 72 dia that easily. Yeah some people get lucky and will argue that they're lucky, but that means we have to constantly be mining or attacking. You probably noticed Eldritch/Hilo/Factions taking fights to every continent, forcing us to have to fight often. There's like a minimum 3 fights a weekend and so you end up using 216 dias a week. If you show me that you can get that much while having a life then I won't mind. Armor durability shouldl be increase(if possible) or ancient ingot/shard cost should be decreased.

Just your diamond buff has been giving you 16 diamonds worth 6 ancient ingots every day. If you're low on ancient ingots it's because you've been wasting the diamonds from your buff/industries

If the numbers you're describing here are accurate, yeah I'd say that's too much. Cost should be reduced some.

With the addition of the attack cooldown durability loss went down in 1.9, meaning you use fewer ancient ingots now then you did pre-1.9. War should be costly. Especially with enchanting being made ridiculously easy with the addition of the town level exp, ancient ingots and durability are fine where they are.

A dickens of a dilemma. Indeed, a puzzling puzzle. Perhaps a lowering in prices is in order. *takes sip of rum and coke* Prehaps, but war can be expensive. Doesn't mean it must. How can a new town join the endless bloodshed if they can't afford the equipment. *sigh, puffs of pipe, then looks at scrimshaw* Or, we make the gear easily obtainable. Say, only certain classes of gear in the battle field. Like iron armour without enchantments. Doubts reign over me that this will occur, though. *sadface*

I agree with Skuhoo, I believe that the Ancient ingot cost is perfectly fine where its at.

Yeah the cost is fine as far as I'm concerned. I know a lot of effort has been put in to making world pvp accessible to all new players but to be honest, you cant have fun, high level pvp and also make it accessible to all new players. Wars are fought with money and people. If you have neither, how do you fight?

Ancient ingots are already at a good price. They're cheaper and more efficient than repairing armor with diamonds and exp. I can see you arguing to lower the price if it's 1.5x more expensive than repairing with an anvil. Oh, and ancient ingots don't make the exp required to repair/rename/book double.
They're op, not too expensive.
