The point that always gets brought up is that it's something which takes time which could be better spent improving other areas.
It makes more sense to fix current broken Loka features than to work on new ones that will have to be worked on as we go forward.
If it was a simple one off thing I'd see where your coming from.

i agree thats why it shouldnt have been added in the first place
If you didn't hear Mag's bit during the state of the server, the summary is that Loka will not be doing any "legacy modes" because of how much work it is to maintain them when new things are added. New messages, menus, etc. are added to Loka all the time and it would take an ungodly amount of work on the end of the Elders to maintain all this for legacy colors and views. If you have suggestions about how to fix the new version of things, then those are welcome of course, but Loka won't be switching things back.
