First, I think that when you queue for ranked there should be a little thing somewhere that tells you how many other people are queued. If wanted you could add an option to disable it in /profile, but I'm not entirely certain why you would want that. But this would just help let you know if anyone else is actually joining it or not when you ask, and lets you know if anyone rejoins the queue. And speaking of rejoining the queue...
When you complete a ranked PvP match, have a little message pop up asking if you want to rejoin the queue, sort of like the rematch feature when you duel. That would just make it easier to get back into the action, rather than hopping through the PvP menu again. Simple, not much, helps make the experience smoother.
