So I realized something that could quickly become a problem with unlinking territory. First off I'd like to say I absoutely love the idea behind I as it means you can employ strategy not only on the battlefield but off as well. That's something I never really thought about and look forward to exploring further.
The problem is, let's say Auru unlink Hilo's territory. What is the advantage of Hilo going to reclaim that territory? You don't get any points and you don't lose any points (as far as I know) if the territories deactivate.
So it ends up being disadvantageous to unlinking territory because you allow a town to get rid of territory they don't need and not lose any points for it. Not to mention you don't get to receive points for fighting those territories either.
My suggestion is to simply make it so whatever town unlink the territory of another town will win points from each territory that deactivates as if a battle had occured. This way it truly is advantageous to cut off people territory and a town that successful does it is awarded appropriately. What do y'all think?
