How It would work:
For a cost of 100k shards, or less idk, you can unlock yourself and choose a different continent to fight on, without having to wait until the next month.
As it stands, once you lock for a continent, you're committed there and can't fight on the other two continents until the next month. This keeps battles focused but can lead to the fights being boring or non-existent if a winner is decided early, which happens basically every month.
Being able to unlock yourself would have its benefits and potential concerns. It allows players to remain active and engaged even if the fights on their current continent has settled. It would help reduce the overall shard supply on the server, making it a good shard sink.
However, there are some concerns. Players who unlock themselves might disrupt ongoing battles on other continents, causing imbalance, and also unpredictability, which could change the outcome of an otherwise definite win for the other alliance. Additionally, the high cost would limit the players who could invest in unlocking themselves, essentially excluding newer players and players who don't grind as much, which could potentially increase the gap between player groups.
It's a crazy and very controversial idea that just seemed fun to me, and I'm quite curious to hear what others think about it, so... lmk
