No Plans to Implement Unstable Item Pouch

Though I'm not sure if this is possible to implement, I think it'd be really convenient to have a pouch for the unstable items that you pick up, the items automatically going to the pouch.
That way, you don't constantly have to sort your inventory and put everything in a shulker.

The unstable items would still drop upon death. Also, only unstable items would be able to go in the pouch.

But the thing is, then the Shards won't be physical except for the trade, Logically, the SHARD is a physical currency, so I think it's wouldn't be nice...

I think you might've read my suggestion wrong

This is not something that would work in reality as the items would have to go somewhere when the player reaches spawn or their town. They likely wouldn't have space in their inventory so the items would have to pop out of them like a pinata. It would also make red zones which we plan to expand considerably in the future worse for grinding which is the opposite of what we want to do.

I don't think I understand what you mean. How would this make grinding worse, in red zones?

Red does not drop unstable items so you would not get the extra storage pouch that yellow provides.
The only difference I'm seeing with the suggestion is that you would need to being shulkers to a red tile and you wouldn't to a yellow.

Items automatically going to the pouch sounds a bit op, maybe treating them like shards and shard pouches where you need to put them in manually might be a more balanced idea.

Escrow chests could work for this.
Good suggestions imo. But if it is possible, keeping the unstable items in the pouch then converting them to normal items within the pouch after reaching a safe zone sounds better.

what if they just went straight into empty shulkers in the inventory, like how shulkers with unstable items drop those out of them on death, if it ain't harder to code

I like this idea. But that's probably my bias as a grinding person speaking

What if unstable items stay unstable, until you take them out of the pouch. That would prevent them from not being able to go anywhere, ones you're in spawn (you have to be in spawn or in town, when you take them out. Otherwise they won't get stable).
As for the red zone items, just leave them as is. I always use my e-chest for grinding pearls, steak and shulkers anyway.

The other half of what Mag didn't say is that we're not really interested in people being able to fill up with overwhelmingly large volumes of items (beyond a player-inv including shulkers).

Shulkers already let you store a ton of extra stuff. Giving you even more virtual space sounds like a suggestion meant to reduce the number of times you have to go to an infested tile so you can do "just one gigantic trip once", which isn't something we're interested in adding. Plenty of ways to offload things from those tiles (players as mules, mules actually (lol), town chests, etc) if you want to stay in there and grind.

Fwiw I thought this was more of a QoL suggestion in my eyes because of shulkers the average player has more transportable space than they know what to do with.
