Reason: There are servers that I play on that are 1.16 (Loka) and some other servers that are 1.15, but I don't like re-arranging my mods and changing versions, this makes it easier and you can just easy switch.

Use MultiMC, it lets you sort versions into separate game installations, probably the best thing I've installed for MC.

You can also do this pretty easily in the minecraft launcher as well

What is the harm in allowing it though

We don't want to allow older clients to join Loka, which this mod allows. It's a bit sketch and opens up a lot of potential problems.
