Dear Residents of Loka

I am casting a vote to discover if the people of Loka believe i am still deserving of my position as an Admin. My reasons for this poll is not to gain pity or attention, it is an honest question and something i am truly considering. I have not been asked to or informed i will be stripped of my admin ship - this is a self imposed by my own choosing.

My reasoning is this -
I have not protected the server from greifers or hackers for quite some time
I have not majorly contributed to the server in a great deal of time
I have not actively participated in RP events
I have shown on numerous occasions a great deal of incompetence in my important station
I had edited numerous amounts of rare blocks into MC (Legally at the time) but never destroyed them when the time was due - leading to the dangerous possibility of hackers/greifers or even just our servers friendly thieves to abuse my slothfulness and neglect.

These and many more are the reasons for my possible resignation. I ask that all of you duly consider it - this is no light matter for me and i truly intend to do this if you find it appropriate for me to do so. I hold no vote or opinion of me against any of you. The job of a guardian is to serve the people - if the people think i have not served them. Then it is time for me to step aside.

Sincerely Gallazius

Gallazius,

Personally, I think that you shouldn't step down, only because I know that you do, in fact, take your adminship seriously. You're considerate to many a user and you have a genuine desire to aid the server. Although I do see that, as of late, there have been things getting in the way of your duties, including being more involved with your own life as it is. For the reasons that you wish to step down, I give you another reason why I respect you and wish to follow your example: You are level-headded. You care about the server more than the rank it gave you, to the point where you're willing to give up any status of power if it'll bring peace.

That being said, no, I don't think you should step down. And I know that this is a biased opinion, but I stand by it. But, if you must, then at least you'll know what it feels like to be a genuine player again. But just remember: The title of Overseer wouldn't have just been given to you if you were just server flavor. There was a reason behind that.

I wish you all the best in what may or may not come of this, Gallazius. If you've inspired anyone to become a possible future defender of the server, it would be me. And even outside of our real-life friendship, you were the admin I looked up to the most. You're the reason I want to become a Guardian myself. Otherwise, I wouldn't have even applied for Sentry. I thank you for all you've done for me and the server, Gall.

Quick post from me though I may elaborate later:

Gall, you've just come back from a very long break. Minecraft is a very different game and the server has been turned upside down since you last saw it. Stahp it. I mean really, stahp it. You're trying to jump back into this too quickly. Relax for a bit, catch up with everything, and then maybe go back to the super admin of old.

When i first signed on to Loka, people would talk about you and how great a person/player/admin and how they all missed you leaving for such a long time. It made me realize that the admin staff of Loka was really well liked by it's community unlike other servers, where the great majority of admins are just power abusing scumbuckets. The fact that people would say this stuff, even while knowing that you hadn't signed on in months, made me realize how awesome an admin you must have been.

From what I've heard of you Gall, you are a great admin and after coming back from a long break, it is only natural to not be 100% up to date with the happenings on Loka. Heck, I sign on after two weeks of not playing and if it weren't for the people, sometimes I doubt if i'm on the correct server. I do know though, that you are quickly getting the grasp of what goes on and that you love Loka and all it's residents. Therefore I think you should remain in your post, take a chill pill and you'll see how everything falls back into place :D

I'm sorry if I may sound a bit patronizing, what with being a sub-admin, but it is my honest opinion. Hope you can still watch over Loka :D

Gall stop...your being to hard on yourself.

I do think you need to be online more
And catch up who's who....

Buttttttt dont you dare try and step down. This server needs good quality admins. You stepping down will only hurt the server. Just catch up

Your the admin of justice ...the admin of secret keeping
And where would Loka be without that. I vote you stay.

The very fact that you made this post shows you should hold your post. Friendliness, honesty, and seriousness about your post are all things reflected in your letter-kinda-thingy at the top here. Stick around gall, you're awesome.

I demand you get on Skype more. Honestly you'll learn soooooo much from the large group Skype calls. You will find that you have a better understanding of the politics of Loka

I agree with Zor, only because a while ago you asked me if speed boots exists. Maybe wait until 1.5 until you start admining again, that way you can be on the same level as everyone else when it comes to knowledge of the new bugs and glitches. You're a great admin, and tbh, being involved in RP events doesn't matter when we have admins in completely different time zones. You used those hacked materials to make a pirate ship, so no real concerns there, and claiming admin incompetence? There are so many accusations of admin abuse and incompetence, that the community can't actually tell the difference anymore. (No bans plox)

Take a break, and if you want to, learn about the new features in Minecraft a bit. Enchants, pots, etc. Or you could just quit, tell the whiny beast that is the Loka community to go fix their own problems, and join HC and steal from everyone else. Either way!

This post will probably mirror andres a lot, since we joined within a few weeks of each other. I've heard a lot about you all throughout my time here, and it's all portrayed you as an extremely popular admin and individual. In my mind you've always been a sort of mysterious figure; the empty throne, the library, the house of the elders, etc. Everyone I know who knows you likes you enormously, and I'm sure I would too if I knew you better. Please stay on as an admin.

I think you're a fine admin, but yeah you are a bit behind. It happens though. Life happens, Sh*t happens. I'm not on near as much as I would like to be, but work pays the bills so. You'll be fine with a little bit of getting up to speed.

I am all for folks getting into the Skype calls though. It does allow conversation about Loka, and about the members of Loka. Even If I can;t get on the forums or online, I can usually get caught up to speed by joining a skype call at work, or messaging those involved with most of the calls.

But I digress.

Gall, Stay an admin. Im fond of you, you weather master mage, you.
