Suggestion Warp Gate NPC

Build a warp gate type structure at spawn with a npc next to it and then make it so you ask the npc to take you to whatever continent and tile you want. then the warp gate will open and it'll tp you to random coords NEAR the place you want to go but not if its a battlezone or adjacent/next to a town. It should cost shards based on distance and more shards if you use it more than once a day.

something along the lines of this, post ideas. i think this would be pretty neat and in a positive direction to increase continent ganks and content

edit: also make it so that it is not instanced. this means if someone is currently paying to power the warpgate, you will have to wait till they have teleported and it powers down to pay for your turn. it adds more character and players would have to wait in line which is pretty cool

Does Loka really need more places to gank though? It has places like RI and Garama Beach that now never see any sort of ganking. I'm not in love with this idea.

continents are the OG and natural gank spot. Just because the server added dedicated places to gank doesn't mean fighting in other places is null and void. People used to protect their tiles from placement right before their vuln ended, or fight while destroying radars etc

I agree that they are the og gank spot, but players are choosing to not fight on them now, which is my only point. I think we need to see a revival in this type of mindset before adding what you are suggesting, but that's just my two cents.

The whole “players are choosing to fight” argument is one of the most braindead things I hear at zyre you

- instantly teleport there
- Get your potions refunded
- decently challenging to run away
- has no kb

cont has none of these, your making housing 2 dollars one place and 200000 another and then going “lol why is everyone living in the house that’s cheaper more effective easier and better to live in”

^^ a revival in that type of mindset wont happen without new mechanics introduced? because of everything that zyre offers that lamp said
