Xovious is leaving

Hello everyone,

Quick note before I begin, I had planned on this before nokia posted his thread, and basically made me second-guess myself, but I have decided. It is time for me to stop wasting so much time on a game as well.

I've definitely had great times on Loka, but as of late, it hasn't been very enjoyable for me. I've been feeling like crap, because I spend so much time on the server, but no time doing something to actually get me somewhere in life. I really was trying to avoid this conclusion, but I must do so. I tell myself that this *may not* be a permanent leave, but it probably will be as Nokia's, I might come on once in a while when I am bored and build something or whatever, check up on everybody. I also still might write my lore, it all depends.

Zephyros has been disbanded, yet again. Draekonfell will be deleted soon, once I fully move to Arvik.

With me leaving Loka, I will finally be able to adjust my sleep times to better fit my school schedule, and finally get on a healthy schedule again to where I'm not slowly killing myself.

To all of my fellow Asmundians and the friends I fought by, damn I have no idea how I could possibly express my gratitude for every single one of you coming into my life. I went from being a depressed lonely piece of crap to actually feeling like I'm not alone, and definitely happier than I had been for years. You guys gave me a gift that I never thought I would end up getting, going onto a Minecraft server. And that was just you, all of you. I appreciate it so much, and I definitely will still be on discord to keep in contact.

To the enemies I fought, we definitely had our arguments and disputes, but in the end, it was definitely a very competitive war, hard fought, and definitely fun to participate in. We got really far, and I am so proud of what we did. Good job on staying dedicated to Loka.

As for this war, idk where it's going to go and what will happen now, but I just hope that it all works out. Loka is a great server, and I hope to come back and check up on it once in a while and see it thriving like it has been. There's plenty I would want to say and stuff, but it's too much for me to cram into this post. Goodbye friends.

P.S.-
(Nokkers m8 said to not make gay lore shit about him, you can make lore shit about me but pls talk to me first about it)

(Also, I might be building and playing still a bit in Arvik, but that's because we're only still experimenting with the thing I am leaving Loka for, once it kicks off I'll have not much time.)

Gah this is sad. I'm gonna miss you. ):

I'm glad you were here, Xov, and it sucks to see you go. I can't thank you enough for bringing me out of my inactivity and teaching me all you've taught me. I promise l'll take good care of Auru, and our allies in Asmund.

I wish you the best of luck going back into real life. I hope you find everything you're looking for.

(PS, if you leave discord I will go to orange juice land and smack you in the head. Stay in touch.)

Aye Xovious, from the past months I have met you, I have thought of you as an awesome guy. The first time I only heard of you as the General of Auru, who runs the War Guild and all that. but with me able to contact you alongside all of you guys, you have been awesome, mate. I will continue to communicate with ya even if the war fucks us over in some way. I hope your personal life gets sorted out, and all of us are able to chill in Discord in some way or another (maybe Cards Against Humanity, who knows). But dude, if you need any help, always come to us, mate.

Hey Xov.. you will be sorely missed in the alliance. Discord voice will not be the same again without the endless clacking of your keyboard because of your stupid open mic. c: You really kept Asmund in check all the time, and you were a very strong leader which I admired about you. Anyhow, keep in touch in Discord. Get everything settled out in real life. You will have tons of friends waiting for you here! See you soon, I hope?

First Cashmere, then Xovious... our salt supplies are diminishing at an unhealthy Lokan rate! But on a more serious note, I've known you Xov since five months, in which if you recall, our first impressions were not at all good. In fact, I actually considered defecting to Hilo because I thought you were the most cancerous player on Loka (who knows?). But then I saw you leading Auru, spending time meticulously caring for all your teammates on Loka, and I thought you weren't that much of a scrub at all . But anyways, no matter where you go and where you are, may the craptops and your cancerous keyboards always be with you.

It's hard not to make the same response as I did with nokia/stamp, but the reasons for leaving are very much the same. Watching you grow from a new Lokan to a town leader, to a PvP General, and on to the King of an Alliance has been a joy to watch. Loka's made you, like all of us, grow. But sometimes growing means growing beyond the community, and that's alright. As with them, and as with all people who take a break or quit; we'll be here when you come back if you need us!

Go Forth!

Here's a little story that you probably know: Loka was the first server I found after I decided to get into Minecraft again. I got on and didn't think it was anything special (probably because, for some strange reason, I didn't get the tutorial at the beginning), so I left and ignored Minecraft entirely. Of course, when I got on one fateful evening 2 months later, I made a new friend. It came in a most unexpected form too (probably because someone was trying to recruit me to Hilo at the time), but they warned me against joining a new town and instead invited me to Auru. Not knowing what else to do (and having my dog suddenly die by way of skeleton :,D), I joined. I spent months after that, immersed in this game whenever I had spare time, glad to have found such a caring and nice friend. Through all of the mischief and tragedy, they stuck by me and pushed me to improve myself not only as a player, but as a person. That person was you.

It's been half a year since then. I can't tell you how grateful I am that I did not join Hilo that day (no offence all you Hiloans, I'm sure I would have had a great time in your town if I had :p), because then I wouldn't have ever met you. Everyone in Asmund, while they may complain and whine about almost everything, are insanely grateful and lucky to have had you as our leader. You've advanced and inspired us more than any other leader could have in the same situation. Personally, I know you have changed me as an individual, and for the better. There have been some sticky situations which you have dragged me out of and forced me to be proactive about. It's improved my entire outlook on how to deal with stress, actually. There have been countless others who you have helped in game and out, as I have seen over time, and that's what makes it easy for me to say this: You've been a great friend and leader and we all know that you can be just as great of one out there in the real world if you put your mind to it. Stay strong, bud, because we're all behind you and always will be, even if you decide to move on for good and delete discord (lmao please don't).

I know you had concerns on how your relations with other people would fare if you left, or just stopped playing Loka, but don't stress it. You won't ever have to worry about losing your friends in Loka... because you've got a friend in all of us. :)

(This sounds like a eulogy, dear god. We'll continue talking, I know, but Loka will miss you as a player at least and a driving force in Asmund. Also, if you don't respond to my messages, I'm driving over to the east coast of 'orange state' and smacking you. I'll probably eat your oreos too)

This was beautiful. Well said, Falks.

I don't believe Falksi could say it any better, but I feel it's necessary to add in my own two cents.
I get it, I'm still relatively new here, and I can't say I've known you as long as most of the amazing people here have. Each and every one of them has seen you grow up from a new player like me, to an awe inspiring player that you have become. Either in game, or in real life, Lokan experiences will travel with you and help you grow as a person: heck, I'm discovering that as i'm slowly improving in my actual writing, thanks to Lokan lore. You have a lot of potential, Xov, to do great things in life, and I hope that you go far one day.
Even if I didn't get to know you all that well, mostly because you founded Draekonfell about a week into my time at Auru, I've still heard plentiful stories of the fearless Xovious. Sure, I may still suck at pvp, and will for a while no matter how much effort I put into it, but you're skill on and off the battlefield, in either actual pvp, or learning how to control a group of people on a highly disorganized discord group, shows that you have one of the greatest qualities as a leader: people listen and respect you.
Now, it's been said time and time again, but I'll say it one last time, just in case you didn't get the memo: we'll always stand by your side. Be it when you join Loka again in two weeks, or two years, no matter the time, we'll always be here for you and welcome you back with open arms.

And if you don't answer to us on discord, I'll join Falksi and come to the East side of the "orange state" and also smack you...but I'll courteously bring milk for when I steal your oreos ;)

Anyways, good luck in the real world, man, but know we've always got your back.
