Hello fellow Lokans.

I am here to appeal my Loka ban (Assisting Ban Evasion). I was told by a member of the Loka staff team that I was being punished for "Assisting Ban evasion". I then went on to make a ticket about who and how I helped someone ban evade as this was a very surprising thing to me as I had no knowledge of me helping someone ban evade or who I was helping ban evade. I got a reply from Magpieman to which he stated that I was helping Qaag ban evade (the same reason as Rhqx.) However, I did not have any part to play in Qaags ban evasion as I didn't even know he was ban evading, But he said it was because I was in a vc with Qaag while he was ban evading and it was a "poor choice of friends".

- My Defence,

I am going to explain why I believe this is a false and unfair ban. First of all, I do not think that "poor choice of friends" is a reason to warrant a ban as I have done nothing to "Assist Ban Evasion". On top of this, being in a vc with Qaag means nothing as we regularly vc with other Loka players in a discord server called "Crown". Not once during this vc did Qaag mention to any of us that he was ban evading so I was completely unaware about him doing this so when logged on and got banned it was a shock to me as I had done nothing to help or assist Qaag ban evade. I was also told that he had been evading for months now but how was I supposed to know, as I have only just returned to the server a few weeks ago. I do not see how Qaag ban evading and lying to me about his alt is me helping him ban evade.

- Accountability,

I do understand that I need to take some accountability as I was somewhat stupid and irresponsible to believe Qaag and not ask any questions about this "friend" of his but at the time me and Qaag were friends nothing special and I just took his word for it without questioning anything because I did not find anything suspicious. If something like this was to happen again (which I hope it does not) I will be sure to notify staff immediately and not be in a vc with players who have a history or past of such actions. This is not a representation of me or what I stand for and in no way was I apart of helping Qaag with his actions.

- In Conclusion,

I admit, I was naïve to believe Qaag but I was at no point helping him or knew about him ban evading and I can assure you I am in no way happy with Qaag and I am trying to steer clear of him as I know about his actions and past now and I do not want to be associated with a player like that. I appreciate you reading my appeal and I will await your reply and respect your decision.

Our response will encompass both you and Rhqx as you come as a pair. Ignorance is no excuse and we have lost patience with ban evaders wasting our time with their friends sitting idly by watching it unfold. Claiming you had no idea is also hard to believe when Rhqx literally sat in a vc and wrote an appeal with Qaag, knowing full well his forum account was banned and then seeing our strongly worded response rejecting it. The pair of you appear to be the only ones interacting with him in VCs and at no point did either of you report anything. Qaag was also going around on his alts telling players that Rhqx invited him to the server and because of this they should let him join their town.

To make matters worse when you did get banned the three of you decide to harass a Lokan because you 'think' he reported you. This included baiting them to try and get evidence to get them in trouble. It then culminated in Qaag sending this individual swat threats. Not that it matters but this individual didn't even report you two...

As a result, we will be rejecting the appeal and the ban remains. We do understand that it seems harsh and unfair as you were not the ones directly breaking the rules originally. However, sometimes doing nothing at all is just as bad and we have been coming down harder and harder on those who sit by and do nothing while harmful individuals break our rules and waste our time.
