A Kingdom Is Born

Lava flowed through the walls behind blocks of glass, dimly illuminating the atrium of the underground haven. Ironforge rested safely as a retreat for those lost after the protection of the Lotus Temple failed. Aegon, known to those in Loka as Master Targaryen, stood at the top of the stairwell overlooking his mining city's entrance. The diamond armor clung to his frame, tarnished from the extensive use. He rarely saw the outside of strip mines and walls of stone. His preparation knew no bounds for he knew the escape to a new world would be treacherous otherwise. His years after awakening in this world were lucrative and proved to be a scholar's dream with all that he had learned. This thought was only reinforced as he glanced through the framework at the small enchantment nook which he spent a fair amount of time.

"How are we looking on our timeline?" Her voice broke his train of thought. He turned to look at Sam, the love of his life and one of two confidants.

"We're doing well, though I never feel like it is enough." His eyes turned again to rest on years of work and the recurring realization that it would all be left behind tore at his heart a little. He had moved homes three times in this world and the fourth would rip him from this plane entirely.

"It will all be fine. There's nothing we haven't been able to overcome and the future holds nothing that we won't be able to do the same." She placed a hand on his shoulder. Her words always found a way to reassure him or give him the kind of strength he never thought possible. He nodded and returned his gaze, glancing inward to their coffers and back around to the emblazoned wall bearing a sigil of iron in the shape of an anvil over a background of lava.

"Ironforge will live on in the new world, I know, but only as a part of a bigger entity." She knew what he spoke of and her role was vital. Her work already in this place proved invaluable. Sam had cultured expansive farms and breeding grounds. Coupled with his resources and tool work, their plans were coming to fruition. His only other trustee this far was his brother, Irish. Between the three of them, the future held promise of a better world.

"I will be discussing matters with Mag soon. His alliance is vital." Aegon knew to tread lightly with such business and every ally would make the entire process that much easier. Andre, a man he considered a brother, was the next person he wanted to address after the old one, then a number of others.

"How do think it will fare?" She asked.

"We'll enough, but I don't believe it will be agreeable to everyone." The wall beside him seemed to breath heavily, the slow movement of lava coursing through stone like molten blood in the veins of a dormant dragon. "In any case, it matters not. It is time we reclaim a seat for our home...." He studied the brick walkway before him, lost in a moment unknown to anyone else.

"Valyria."

If anything was going to get me to read GoT, this is it. I've got the first book here, and I'm going to start reading it today. :) That said, this is very interesting, and I can't wait to read more.

I also want to clarify, I'm not attempting to start a GoT RP, though the same concepts are present. This is simply an additive to all that is Loka. (The Easter eggs are just a bonus)

There doesn't seem to be much interest but I plan to use this type of thing to fuel a few more stories in Loka.

I think the interest is larger than you think. Don't judge interest by the number of replies you get on the forums. Also, write this in a book on the server, copy it, throw copies around the world randomly (chest at spawn, etc) and it'll spread some attention and get people intrigued and willing to seek out future writings of yours.
