Suggestion Allow Exitlag for AS/AU.

Routing to AS and AU has been especially bad for the last few weeks, even before the new ranked season's release. I'm AS myself and I used to get 200ms, now I get 300-400ms and I don't even bother logging on anymore. I've watched gwoe play live and he gets 400-500ms, and even though with exitlag he gets 230ms.

That was the whole reason this suggestion was even made and got the most upvotes in recent times: https://forums.lokamc.com/threads/ban-gwoe-from-ranked.10546
Now I understand that was purely a suggestion made to complain about gwoe's ping, but if they allowed exitlag, he would be fightable and the game would actually be playable for him and other AS/AU players too.

The solution isn't banning AS/AU from ranked, the solution is allowing them to use better routing so that they can actually take kb and stop flying around the fucking map.

I don’t know what happened a few months ago all of as/au were getting 200-250 ping, after the host update or something happened last month basically everyone I know from the community except few get over 400ping.

It’s unplayable for me and it’s not fun for other people to fight me in ranked. Exit lag would completely fix this but, this could make alting Loka easier. Maybe some way staff could assign some vpn routes to people and somehow fix this problem I don’t know.

Or just go back to the old host that would also fix it.

+1, I am AU, when I logged onto Loka in April after being banned for 9 months I was at 277ms, over time and numerous host changes, hours spent with customer support and hundreds of dollars spent on new ethernet cables, higher quality routers and a different internet plan I now sit at a comfortable 220, this ping is still bad and would be decreased even further with exitlag however this ping is a privilege that many do not recieve.

Players such as Gwoe and 4mew, are AU and recieve 450ms+ ping, myself included follow extensive ping spikes.

In the past Loka has attempted to argue that the playerbase for AU and AS isnt enough to support a proxy or VPN access however with the influx of popularity of the gamemode diapot within the AS and AU community it brings new players to the LOKA community.

Gwoe and myself have brang over 20+ AU players and can easily bring more howevr are limited by the large amount of players who are stuck in 500ms jail.

For the same reasoning the chinese were allowed exitlag why cant we? they cant "play" without it. Is 500ms considered playable?
Argue it all you want its just straight discrimination.

With the extensive activity prominent through these players I am confident players like myself and Gwoe would "vouch" for AU's who would use exitlag appropriately and would be willing to cop the punishment if a player that they vouched turns out to misuse the privelege.

With Asia making up over half the world its insane how its untapped into loka and can grow its playerbase so much more. Towns like Aleph and Sovereign housing such large amounts of players who are all 180ms+ ruining my ranked experience.

Numerous people could get 30-50ms lower with exitlag.

I am truly unsure as to what Loka's issue is with this, servers such as CCnet have extensive whitelist only Exitlag programs and yes they face alting, all servers do but its NOT because of exitlag.

Yamxn a recent turkish player alted and cheated against me in ranked and wasnt banned until hours later, exitlag is not the reason for this.

ANY residential VPN AND homemade vpns can be used to alt on loka and this is public information, truly if i got banned whats stopping me from going to my irl friends house 10min away and playing on his pc? the system itself is flawed and irreparable but protective measures can be ensured.

May I suggest people who would be willing to vouch their peers for exitlag access.

Lynzl, staff on the potpvp tierlist and PVE dev on loka, well known Asian pvper
gwoe , staff on australian tierlist and a devoted lokan pvper, well known AU
aliitsme, staff on pot list, played loka for years, recruiter and pvper- known AU
12don, owner of Aleph a 200 member town with 45 actives. -known asian.

a common arguement featuring "play on your own region" is not excusable as loka is a specific server that isnt shared in characteristics in othr servers.
if this was happening to EU's it would be fixed immediately due to the larger playerbase.

I am sick beyond words of paying way to much money for better routing to still not be sub 200ms. I could recruit ALL of my friends but they have no interest in 400ms
lastly if you really want to you could do an affiliate link with exitlag and about 100 referrals would sign up for exitlag on loka.

Make Loka Great Again. #ban gwoe from ranked
#kileld gwoe in ranked twice he ragequit and blocked me
#ban x1shu

I personally know 20+ koreans and japanese people who have played loka, ganked with me, and enjoyed it when they got 200ms, now I ask them to log on and they all say that they simply don't want to play 400ms pvp, which is understandable. Dpot is huge in south east asia and it's genuinely a huge playerbase loka is losing. Same reason why even Akame, a slicer, quit playing.

Most of us simply don't have the money or the facilities to change ISP, get new cables, buy new routers, but most of us are still able to afford the 6$/month for exitlag, I don't know what else to say.

Exitlag is a VPN, and although we understand why some players would want to use it, we unfortunately cannot allow it. It has been requested and discussed many times before, including extended discussions in previous States of the Server which you can browse and listen to here. In addition, there is a wiki page about connection to the server here. For 100% clarity, we are also not interested in adopting a "vouch-based" model for Exitlag usage.
