Gumbo, Jambalya, Crawfish, Mardi Gras.
hmm never experience a "Mardi Gras" and most likely never will, but I would like to know what its like. That was the summation of my time at Mississippi State. Our fraternity did a lot of NO inspired stuff. Our senior dorms also had an MSU Mardi Gras.It was...interesting.
Sometimes there's beans :IIowa is spot on actually. I drove through it for four hours and all I saw was corn and cows.
Imagine parades with huge floats with characters, people dancing, purple, gold, & green beads tossed everywhere, candy thrown out to children, Jambalya being cooked around town, gumbo being stirred, crawfish being boiled, jazz music, cultural music, masks, walking through the streets of New Orleans, and much much more. It's a very very fun thing to do. And we may be the only state that gets a week out of school for Mardi Gras. If you ever get a chance to come to Louisiana, you should most definitely come during Mardi Gras!hmm never experience a "Mardi Gras" and most likely never will, but I would like to know what its like.
