Which rank are you applying for: Sentry

What you think is expected of this rank: I believe that Sentry is your true first step into becoming an active contributing member of the community to where you’re committing more than just your time of being a player, but also helping admins and being a good part of the community. To me, sentries are expected to be able to moderate chat and serve as a helpful role model of how a player should be on Loka.

Why you think you should become this rank: I feel that I should become this rank because I have been a part of Loka for quite a while now(wow time flies). Unexpectedly, a Minecraft server managed to help me through my depression and find true friends, and became a place I could call home. Yes, it certainly got bad to the point where I had to force myself away and take a break to rethink my decisions, but then I decided to come back after, after going through a lot of self-critiquing and just simply working on my mindset and personality. I used to be toxic to my enemies on the server yes, but I was one of the more welcoming people of the server back then, being as friendly as I could to new players and helping them start out on Loka. I’ve been told to apply for Sentry a few times, but I decided not to because I felt I wasn’t ready. I’ve worked much more on controlling myself and my mindset, and trying to be as friendly as possible, and I feel that I have succeeded for the most part. I may slip still, but with time that’ll be corrected. I feel that I would be able to uphold the responsibilities of this rank and welcome new players with a fresh and friendly mindset, and introduce them to our beautiful server.

Time zone: EST

How often do you play (hours a day/week): 1-2 hours every day at the least, usually watching chat for much longer than that.
 
Haha, this is long overdue. Super helpful and friendly to newcomers and very knowledgeable when it comes to Loka! He's been an active part of the community for sometime and I believe he is deserving of Sentry!
 
-1 I have to disagree for a reason, you are still getting mad easily.
I know u were much toxic before and you have change, and thats great, but i think a chat mod needs to have selfcontrol and keep the chat in peace.
And seeing how frequently u get mad with people in chat and how u react, i think its not going to work well.

I understand your concern, but have you noticed anything of the sort from me like that anytime recently? The worst I've done is tell people to chill or stop being toxic, Guardians and Sentries that have their ranks right now have been worse than I have, I feel like you're misjudging me because of how I used to act :/

After about an hour of listening to them go on a toxic rant, and not saying anything, I decided it was time to intervene and tell them to stop. I told them to chill and told him to stop being a brat about a feature of the game, and to just stop being toxic and leave it alone, and he ended up stopping. Taking what I say out of context, to me, is kind of unfair.

The thing is, thats not the way of solving things. He stopped, but anyone else would keep the salt going just because u called him brat.
Anyways i wont reply here again, i dont wanna ruin this post even when probably i already did xd

That's the thing though, the way I phrased it wasn't in an insulting way really. It was meant to show that he's just being ridiculous. Nobody was salting after that at me for calling him that, he did once and that was it.
