In this clip you can see the timer hits 0 seconds, and stays at 0 seconds for a little bit, which gives the attacking team slightly extra time to end the war. For some reason, there is a really small delay between when the timer actually ends, to when they are no longer able to actually destroy the T Gen. It's pretty self explanatory and only makes a difference when its REALLY close, but for example the war start timer, it's exact, so after it ticks down from 1, it starts, rather than a second after it hits 0, so I would assume the same would apply here. Otherwise it gives the attacking time 30 minutes and 1 second to end as opposed to the intended 30 minutes. Small difference but it does matter for rare cases like this.
I'm fairly sure it actually applies for like a couple seconds after the rivi ends rather than just one since this has happened before where the timer was at 0 for like 4 seconds, but this is an example that happened literally just now
