its probably cause Lokas main host is NA and they need to connect to the NA server regardless of which port they connect via (EU or NA)
so players already in NA should not be able to purposely make themselves lag but anyone in EU is gonna be connecting to NA regardless even if they use the EU port. Also the different routing for EU loka port could simply result in worse ping for some players depending on where they are in EU

this is my assumption im sure one of you will sniff some glue adjust your glasses and correct me
