I dont think you can make the "German Windmill" on a cape, but there are various hate capes out there that should definitely 1000% be bannable. Loka is a PG server, and if a child were to log on and see that, that could influence them to start behaving similarly or even slowly follow that ideology. The ban should stay in place imo. -1

town chat is private in the sort of sense where you are only interacting with town members, who are in the case of most loka players your friends. a cape is a cosmetic that basically everyone around you can see (since 99% of players on loka will be on optifine or have a mod that allows them to see capes). i personally dont care what skin or cape someone has, but loka has always made it clear that they wont allow you to portray toxic ideas in chat or with your skins and capes etc

This is the first cape related ban I could find. And the fact that you need to download an optional mod(s) and enable an optional setting. At that point you cannot say it’s not private and that they don’t choose the risk of seeing it.

Secondly, I can’t find any other mention of an appeal based purely off of a cape and it’s never been made clear in the rules or in any sort of announcement.

they don’t moderate them unless in certain cases, and that those cases be made clear in the rules

Last I checked hate speech is one of those cases.

And it's exactly this attitude that is going to keep you banned. If the cape is so bad you won't talk about it here, then the ban is deserved. You have proven in this appeal alone why you are undeserving of an unban. If you this type of thing, get punished, and feel no remorse, then what's to stop you from doing it again if you get unbanned immediately? Nothing.

The ban will remain. Staff were willing to be lenient and gave you every opportunity to change it. They messaged you multiple times in game and you chose to ignore them.
