I was banned today for doxxing (18/06/2023 at approx 12 pm est). There are several points I would like to address here regarding me “doxxing” Aaronx4b.
I thought the picture I sent was not him
-To clarify, when sending the picture I did not think the picture I sent was him. I had many reasons for thinking this was not him:
-In the screenshot attached he admits that the person in the image isn’t him, by sending the message “is that meant to be me”.
-While I was sending these messages I was in a call with other players who are close friends of mine. One of them, who knows and has been friends with the victim who I “doxxed” told me that the image I was sending was not him. The reasoning for this, is that he had previously seen the victim’s real face under their own discretion.
-When I received this image from another player, I assumed it was a joke, and the people in my voice call said that the image is from twitter/google.
The image sent had no malicious intent
-If you read the image attached it’s clear to see that the language used were in a funny joking tonality. Examples of this being me saying “Are you scared of 12 year olds” and when he denies I follow up with the phrase “how about 12 year olds turning 13 in a week”.To clarify when I sent this image I had no intent to “doxx him” rather I was saying “this is how you look like ,because you only play videogames and do not go outside”. This was shown by my words right after I sent the image.
I believe that the ban of myself was a misunderstanding, and the player’s reasoning for reporting me was an act of “revenge banning”, since he doesn’t like me nor plays Loka often or at all. Moreover, I’d like to further clarify that while sending the image I had no intent of performing the action of doxxing, and I apologize if it was taken as such. I am fully aware of the harm doxxing can cause, and would never be involved in an actual dox. Once again, I am sorry if my actions were misinterpreted as doxxing someone, but in the end I think this is just a big misunderstanding.
