Back in February, I was permanently banned for hate speech. This was due to my remarks about the overall Turkish community of the server and towards a specific member of this community. Specifically, I made remarks such as "what if we banned all turks" followed by "turks don't belong on loka", which earned me a permanent mute. The very next day after I was muted I told the Turkish player "VienisasVilkas" (his ign at the time) something along the lines of "go back to bombing synagogues" during an argument.
While the former set of remarks were meant to be taken as jokes, that does not in any form excuse their seriousness. If anything, them being meant as jokes may actually make them The ladder were simply malicious and not okay. These remarks undoubtedly made it feel as though Turkish players were unwelcome on Loka. They stereotyped the entire Turkish nationality as extremist Islamic terrorists, and ignored the more than obvious fact that the vast majority of Turkish people are well meaning individuals just like most people. Even more damningly, making these remarks went against my own personal and religious values of non-judgment and recognition of one's individual innate human value. I knew these remarks were wrong, and I made them anyway.
I know there is no way to make up for these remarks. No amount of apologies, good acts, or taking of responsibility are able to undo what has been done. I admit what I have done, and I am truly sorry. I cannot reverse my actions, and all I can do is attempt to take responsibility and move on and learn from my mistakes. If this appeal be accepted, I ask that I be permanently muted upon my unban and not be given room for any more warnings as I have tarnished the trust of the server's staff and community and I must work to regain it before restrictions be lifted any further.
