Suggestion Bring back 2 day tourneys!!

When I first started, some of the tournaments used to last 2 days, usually Saturday and Sunday, and it would be a 1v1 and 2v2, one of them on Saturday and the other on Sunday. I understand this was changed due to the owners being very busy, but these tournaments were the best. I hope this can be done again someday.

Now that the elders aren’t the ones in charge of the tournament stuff and it’s the cm work I feel like this should be done again. 2 days tourneys were fire

This is something that I can say we'd love to do; however, it's challenging to actually commit to blocking out an entire weekend. Personally, my weekends are generally packed, and the same can be said about the majority of the staff team. With that said, Crypt has done an excellent job with Loka's tournament tech, and barring the occasional bug, tournaments can be exclusively run by their organizers without much staff involvement.

With that said, a two-day tournament is a huge commitment even for festival organizers. They were more realistic during/shortly following COVID because people were stuck inside, but I think the demand for it has probably lessened. A lot of people also found Tican I being on a Sunday controversial because tournaments have traditionally been on Saturdays. It simply came down to my personal availability (sorry everyone, especially Kottnn...), but obviously, this is different for everyone. I can definitely see a two-day tournament being something worth pursuing to try and appease a greater proportion of the community, though.

In any rite, I think this is something worth looking at as Loka grows more in the future and the demand for tournaments continues to increase. Absolutely no promises, though - it's always a big undertaking.
 
2 day tournaments sound fun. Less staff involvement somehow maybe so they don't have to clog there entire weekend
