I would love for this to happen but they (loka elders) will not bring this back but hopefully in the future infested will give more glowstone rates so atleast we'll have more glowstone

While gunpowder should be more important, glowstones have become more valuable and more expensive than gunpowder, and glowstones are very hard to get...
