Hello loka community.

I would like to start off my appeal by thanking Cryptite and Bat3415 for giving me the opportunity to play this server even after my brother was banned for Exploit Abuse. Very soon after I got started on loka, I was permanently banned for not breaking any rules but rather as a safety precaution due to the possibility of my brother using my account to play on loka.

I understand why but I don’t think this is fair. I practiced a lot and watched a lot of guides because I wanted to succeed in becoming a better player. And after I was given permission to play the admins decided to revert this and permanently ban me. I was told by people that members of helian league were told to spam report me which is perhaps why admins felt so pressured to go back on their word and ban me.

Even though other players such as bekogod and his brother bekgodbabamir are allowed to play when his brother is a known doxxer and his brother is not banned. Also, the day after I had gotten unbanned, or whitelisted to play loka, my brother had went to a school trip out of state meaning he would not be able to access my account not to mention he doesn't even know my password to my laptop. Thank you for reading and I hope the Loka staff and community will allow me to play as I really enjoyed playing this server during the time of being unbanned. (Sorry if the appeal is sloppy English is not my main language)

i understand that this is a pretty difficult situation for staff as they can never really be sure who is on the account when a sibling is banned. however i do not think it is very fair for staff to ban a player on the basis that it is possible their banned sibling is playing on it. banning for possibility is unfair, and by this logic, other siblings that play loka or know eachother can be banned as well. nothing can stop 2 siblings that play loka to get on eachothers accounts for whatever reason, yet they would not get banned just for the fact that their sibling can log on to their account. staff already went through (what i think was) a tedious process of actually confirming that DNA and bvjn are 2 different people. i think they know that DNAs sibling does want to play, but chose to ban the account after deciding they could never be sure as to who is really playing on it (and what i assume was some community pressure as many people reported bvjn and called him out in both public chat and his DMs, which he had to toggle off). i think its a pretty unfortunate situation and i understand where staff came through with their decision to ban bvjn, but i just do not find it fair since after talking with DNA alot i am quite convinced its just not him playing on this account. the response to this appeal will be quite negative (and understandably since from an outsider point of view it just seems like a silly attempt for a banned player to play on an alternate account) but i genuinely think bvjn wants to play loka and that he should not be banned just because his sibling is.
+1

+1 bvjn shouldn't be banned for wanting to play on a server that his brother was banned on previously before he started, their personalities are quite different I do not think he should be banned for his brother being banned.

+1 kid is super nice, he gave my shulker back in conquest, also if he is banned then other people should be banned as well for the same reason, however they are not

Worth mentioning that, if I recall correctly, these two do not live together and thus do not share an IP. The problem lies when people have the same IP. It's really the IP that gets banned in this scenario, not just "the family."

that is completely understandable but in most scenarios siblings are going to be living together. i am not sure how many siblings are on loka nor can i name all of them but i am quite sure theres a few people that live together and play loka together. it would be unreasonable to ban these people because of the actions of their sibling, or because of the possibility that we could never know if it is them or their sibling playing on their account. i just think that a ban like this is unfair as without concrete proof its not really just for staff to ban bvjn after confirming he is a seperate person purely on the basis that dna could at any time play on his account, since the same could be applied for other players in similar situations (though admittedly this situation is more unique than most)

We're perfectly happy to have people who live together play together. That said, in the case where "my little brother got on my account and was hacking, it wasn't me", your account gets banned regardless of who's on it. It's not much of an extension (and is how we already basically do things) to extend the account ban to a family-ban (in cases of permaban). In this specific case, Brother 1 got banned, Brother 2 showed up coincidentally right after the ban wanting to suddenly play Loka, got subownership of the same town, subsequently changed OF cape to the exact same as dna's. These are just a few examples of suspect proof.

The question is, is it okay for a banned player to be able to play on Loka just by hopping on another computer in the house? It is indeed arguably unfair for "the family" to be banned, but the alternative is basically no bueno in our minds. If you want to ensure your house/family/whatever to all play, don't get banned.

I was given subowner because I was told it would be easier to learn, my brother aswell gifted the cape to me since he said he was quitting minecraft and I do not know how to change it so I just kept it. (This was before he left and honestly didn’t think anything of the same cape.)

your arguement is perfectly sound and reasonable, i am confused as to why the thread isnt being locked since you seem to have your mind made up over this situation, or do you just want to see the thoughts of people on this before you do?

I think its fair as your brother is banned and you can't really prove there is no way he s gonna play on your account. No matter who it is if some1 who uses your ip is banned you should also be banned, atleast in my opinion. -1
