What I Think is Expected of This Rank: On an everyday basis, Sentries are there to keep Loka running smoothly. They may not have a wealth of commands or tools, but Sentries are integral in ensuring that all Lokans are having an positive, enjoyable server experience. With access to intro chat, they are responsible for introducing new players to the server, and are to be readily available to help players, old or new, with their questions and issues. They are the everyday faces of the server, and serve as communicators between players and the rest of the staff, helping voice concerns and address issues. Their other responsibilities include helping keep chat clean and friendly, and monitoring RX. They also act as the eyes and ears of the admins, ensuring that any major problems are brought to the admin team to be dealt with. Overall, Sentries act as the beat cops of the Lokan 'police force', being largely involved with the community and helping Lokan citizens with their day-to-day issues.
Why I Think I Should Become This Rank: I want to be a Sentry because I want to be able to help grow and improve the Lokan community. I think that Loka could use more Sentries, now more than ever with our continued growth. In just over a year on Loka, I've made some great friends, and had some awesome experiences. Even though I can hardly stand playing Minecraft, I love playing on Loka and can never stay away for too long. I want to help build the Lokan community, and be a part of the server reaching even greater heights. Sentries have a critical role in helping new players get started, and I want to play a part in helping bring new members to our community. I believe I have the experience and knowledge necessary to help get new players interested and involved on Loka. I view helping retain new players as one of the most important jobs of a Sentry, and I personally want to do as much as I can to grow our playerbase, since having more active players serves to benefit not just the server, but everyone playing. I also think that I have good communication and interpersonal skills that make me well-equipped to assist in conflict resolution. Additionally, I would say that I am fairly well-known among the community, and that I am in good standing with many citizens of Loka. Sure, I may not be the most senior player, but ultimately, my goal is the same as everyone else's here, to do our best to make Loka an even greater place, and I think that I could do that as a Sentry.

How Often I Play: I'm on Loka pretty regularly - most days, if not every day. On any given day I probably play for anywhere between 1-4 hours.
