Which role you are applying for: PvE Developer
Why you think you should become this role: I have an interest in server lore and especially integrating server lore into Quests. I believe I can bring a set of skills to the table in terms of storyline quest making which is as of now not a predominant thing. While I have enjoyed past event quests, I feel that there is a lack of sourcing quests outside of events and holidays and I would love to expand on and create storyline quests.
When you started playing on the server: November 15th, 2021
Time zone: CST (GMT-6)
How often do you play (hours a day/week): 2-3 hours a day.
Favourite NPC on Loka: Melchiott, as they provide me with treats.
Example of a quest you would write if you were accepted:
Lydia's Inquiry
Lydia asks you to solve a query of hers, she tells you of a collection of books in the library and asks for you to find them. This collection of books holds indispensable knowledge on the founding of Aladra.
- Find the four books in the library.
The Book
You deliver the books to Lydia; she thanks you graciously as she skims over them. The last book catchers the corner of her eye, she looks over it again realizing this is the long-lost book. She quickly undoes its seal, opening the book in a brisk manner. As she opens the book the air suddenly shifts, a sudden magical feeling drifts over Lydia and yourself.
- Listen to Lydia as she reads an excerpt from the book.
Quills and Quests
As Lydia concludes the excerpt from the book her tone softens. She sets the book down releasing her grip on it, then looks up at you with a puzzled expression. Before you can ask what is causing her confusion, she thanks you again, swiftly placing the book on the shelf nearby. Lydia turns back towards you and proclaims there is a man nearby who may offer more particulars than herself.
- Find the mysterious man nearby.
The Creator
You make your way to the Town Hall, where a man in formal wear greets you, welcoming you inside. You are both seated adjacent to the entrance, where the man explains to you that he is the mayor of the town. You explain to him your previous endeavors with Lydia and of the book she read out of. The man, Dhanri, elucidates about the importance of the book and promulgates his association in writing the book.
-Listen to Dhanri's elaboration of the book and knowledge of Aladra.
A New Journey
You stand up and bid farewell to Dhanri, as you exit the Town Hall you turn back to look at Dhanri once more, he waves at you and wishes you luck. You leave to start your trek across the lands of Aladra, you cross many mounds and overcome all terrain. You finally arrive, distant from all-known before you still hear the faint echoes of animated laughter. You had remembered what Dhanri told you as you approached the seemingly disparaged group of houses. You knock, a woman answers, she greets you and lets you in.
-Talk to Ana.
Ana's Untold Story
Ana sits you down and does the same not far away. She asks with a curious demeanor of your arrival and pries for an answer. You tell her that Dhanri had sent you and indulge in her curiosity and delineate your conversance with Lydia and Dhanri. You conclude your account of Dhanri's sayings, and ask for her wisdom. Ana tells you of the second voyage over to Aladra, the same one of which brought her over and how it gave her great delight in seeing new land. She explained the upbringing and making of the Aladra central district, stating not long after she decided to move away to this secluded part of the Island. Ana tells you of a secret location on the Island which holds information from the first voyages.
- Find the secret area
Note of disclaimer: I am not an expert on server lore or Aladra lore, this is mostly just an interpretation of existing lore.
