Hello hope you are doing okay on Loka there are 2 ways to obtain nametag and they are both an absolute disaster

Method 1: Crafting
I love crafting I am a big crafter Half of Mine Craft is the Craft but this custom recipe is some garbage Why does it need a Diamond no part of the nametag item appears
Diamondy and yet you need a diamond just makes no flipping sense I understand back in the old days you could not craft Nametag but its 2026 Now and you can make nametag in vanilla Minecraft a paper and a nugget But Nope loka stuck in the past this will drive away potential new players


Method 2: Getting scammed
So theres this Aladran Woman Kairin (if thats even her real name) pictured below

If you have ever had the displeaure of meeting Kairin you would know that she is an absolute crook and this says alot since all the Aladrans are scammers with shoddy prices but Kairin likely takes the cake she sells nametag for 16 shards first of all thats outrageous a diamond is 12 shards per the Aladran trading cost which means that you are paying for the diamond used to craft the nametag and then 4 shards for what Kairin seems to think is hard work AKA finding 3 paper and a string and putting them together so you are paying 1.25 diamonds for an item with 0 diamond like pixels in it the whole system is broken here and it needs fixing and Kairin needs to be removed from the game probably



TLDR: The solution is clear remove the silly outdated custom recipe and remove Kairin the crook and give us the vanila nametag recipe thanks for reading or not reading if you only read the TLDR

Your argument that this system will drive away new players is completely false. In fact, the custom nametag recipe is one of the main reasons I started playing on Loka to begin with.

New players aren't looking for a copy-paste vanilla experience; they come to custom servers like Loka for distinct features and custom mechanics. Having unique crafting recipes adds flavor to the game, and for many of us, it's a selling point that brings people in rather than pushing them away.

I don't like the misconception that the name tags are in any way inconvenient or expensive to obtain. I can understand the confusion that the crafting recipe doesn't align with vanilla, but 16 shards is pocket change, literally catching-2-fish-and-selling-them price. Buying diamonds from Golran is 18 shards per, so Kairin is actually cutting you a deal compared to the crafting recipe. If you're naming hundreds of mobs, then it'll cost hundreds of shards and you should pay it or collect the resources. I personally don't see a problem here.
