No Plans to Implement change the host temporarily

This host has been horrendous, and while we as a Loka Community understand that Loka can’t do anything about routing issues and ping spikes with the current host, you cannot deny the fact that Loka has been unenjoyable to play because of constant disconnects, freezes and spikes. Please consider changing the host for the time being to somewhere where not legit 90% has routing issues with and where our ping at least is stable. I think it will be a smoother experience for a good amount of players. I’m tired of playing like this and I’m sure others share the same opinion. I’m also aware you guys are getting spammed with the same stuff over and over, but if you step into our shoes I think it is reasonable to complain about it. Even when there aren’t a lot of people on, our ping is dying. On top of that, next month is going to be an active one and if this is the state of loka we are gonna have to play in, I don’t think anyone will have a fun experience playing.

I hope this doesn’t get ignored and I hope there is a temporary solution for this because it gets to a point where it just gets annoying. Obviously we don’t know as much about the internet and everything behind it so I’m not by any means blaming Loka for it, but I think waiting for it to automatically fix itself just isn’t the way.

when the routing went through miami for that 1 day it was good high ping is better than freezing every second

tbh this is a perfect opportunity for loka to try out some kind of a EU host for a few days, all EU servers that i played on recently seem just fine, so for the time of the crisis loka could switch to an european host and wait it out :3

I am by any means not qualified enough to speak about this topic as I don't have any experience or knowledge about anti-ddos protection or how things work in general, but one thing I noticed is that everything has been going downhill since Loka migrated to TCPShield. I've seen Kylaz talking about her server migrating FROM TCPS to other anti-ddos (and I believe that she has far more knowledge than me in this topic, as she's an owner of a huge minecraft pvp server).

Just the sheer amount of announcements made by Cryptite regarding ping-related issues has been INSANE in the last two weeks. For the past two weeks, as an EU player I've had less than three days without my ping spiking randomly, my ping changing EVERY DAY (even twice a day sometimes) or being more than +60ms than normal.

+1 try out the eu or canada host, why am i on 79ms for the first time ever but spiking to 300 every 5 seconds

it got moved to tcpshield because of the lag with the previous one idk what it was called

Our move off of TCPShield has resolved the majority of the recent atrocious latency.

Excluding attacks on MC networks today that took everybody down a few times including Hypixel/DonutSMP/etc
