Reason for Ban: Assisting a banned player/failure to report a ban evading player.
Hello Loka Community. As you may know, I’ve been temporarily banned for a month for assisting a player that has been banned for a while. This player goes by the name “loayal”.
First of all, I would like to say that I did not know that it was him. I suspected it was him, but I did not know for sure.
I'm asking to get unbanned because in my opinion, I believe I did nothing wrong.
How it happened:
I messaged Leo in /msgs, asking if he was on an alt, at first I didn’t think this player was loayal. However, he seemed suspicious since everyone in RP (Regional Powers) and other towns believed that it was loayal.
Some may argue that I was in a voice-chat with loayal, although I wasn’t familiar with loayal's voice as I don't usually voice-chat with him. He also took similar knockback like loayal, so I took the initiative to ask him in voice-chat if he is who I thought he was.
Going into the voice-chat with him, I asked if he has a new “different IP to connect to Loka?” But then he didn’t say anything in the voice-chat so I was extremely suspicious of him. I was wondering if I should report but I didn’t 100% know if it was loayal and I didn’t want to report him because he might just be someone else,
I really didn't want to take the risk and if he was someone else, I didn't want to get punished for false banning so I just didn’t report him at all,
Additionally, I didn’t even know it was him until he got banned, because for some time I thought that it would show: “Possible Alts: Ledloyal” (e.g) but it did not. So I thought it really wasn’t loyal but then realising he could have just changed his IP. Then I asked him because he was REALLY similar to loyal but I didn’t want to report him yet, as I still didn’t know if it was 100% loayal. Later I joined voice-chat with Bilal (dzne, The Owner Of Azula), telling him that it might be loayal who is alting so he said he was going to report it to a guardian.
In the end Bilal told me in call that Leo071206 was loayal and got banned.
To conclude, I understand why I have been banned for this and why it is a rule in the first place, I understand that admins must take time out of their day to investigate situations like this. It was my mistake to not report him, but I’m kindly asking for you to consider this appeal.
 
+1 I indeed was in call and said I would ask a Guardian to look at it, also I told Cipher that Leo071206 got banned (I send a screenshot of conversation w/ bat3415) . In my opinion I think CipherV Should've got warned.

As he says he went to me and thought that would be enough because i told him I would ask it to a Guardian that means not he was ignoring it?

Fwiw, reporting this stuff is always handy just for your sake. I totally see where you were coming from of not wanting to mistreat a player because of they might be an alt without solid proof though.

Why did you have to act as a middleman for this? For all the staff team knows, this claim that he told you to report it could be made up. If he himself had reported it, he wouldn't be banned.

Well I'm here saying he did not made it up, because that is what really happened. Reason I act like a "middleman" is because i feel responsible for his ban I told him I would handle it and now he got banned because he did not report it himself.
 
+1 because he thought he wouldnt get in trouble because dzne reported it but next time you should appeal earlier because rn you are through half of your ban length
 
+1 he listened to what dzne said who is the older ,more responsible player. Yes he should report it himself next time but if Dzne said he would sort it and he then reported it himself , I don’t see the necessity of the ban. A warning would be more appropriate I believe.
