If you are ever suspicious of an account possibly being an alternative account you can make a report and DM a staff member to investigate it. Take this into consideration next time as it may help with you not getting in trouble with the alt.
 
We've reviewed all the information behind this ban and in this appeal, and stand by our conclusion that you had enough information to have reported this player. Anything may have taken place during a VC that could be claimed to exonerate a player, and we would recommend in all cases, most particularly when you have had personal interaction with a player you believe to be ban evading, that you do not leave your reporting to be the duty of someone else. Furthermore, we have no rule against making an incorrect report, and have never come after a player for making a report that turned out not to be true. We always do research on our end before banning a player off the word of another. Due to the recent prevalence of this issue and the seriousness with which we feel we need to treat it, we have decided this ban will remain in place.
