Hello Loka,
I was recently banned for an excessive amount of attempt to join loka whilst having exit lag enabled. I’m here today appealing this ban giving a bit of insight of how it happen, things I will do to prevent it, and my understanding of why it is banned.
As an Australian player, I get very high ping to many servers especially those of different regions such as loka. Alongside this due to time zones there aren’t many times loka is active when I am awake. Because of this I tend to play high ping server's such as vexaay and loka at a similar time as that is when they are active. Because of this I occasionally forget to disable exitlag when switching to loka due to simply forgetting but also forgetting it’s on. Although I’m unable to play loka as I get stuck on the warning screen, it’s still triggers my warnings which have built up over the 2-3 years I’ve casually played the server. Another way I’ve set off these warns is my resetting my pc for whatever reasons and trying to join loka right away. I currently have exitlag set to automatically enable when my pc starts causing for me to set off this alarm. Lastly I’ve occasional set off this trigger by having exitlag lag on and accidentally logging into the wrong server as the server list had not yet loaded and I think of it as another server.
Now that some insight has been given I’ll give a few ways I’ve identified to prevent this from happening in the future.
1. Turn off automatic enabling on exitlag
2. Rename all my server listing to have a proper name
3. Ensure to always triple check my exitlag is off before joining loka.
These are all some simple things I can do to prevent his from reoccurring as to why I hope the community can trust me to follow through.
Lastly I would like to apologise for my wrong doings. I understand using VPNs can cause for players to alt and avoid their bans, creating unfair and potentially malicious acts. I understand why I have done is wrong and hope the staff can forgive me for the wasted time I’ve given them when previously allowing me back after accidentally joining with a vpn.
