This forum post does not consider the real problem or PROBLEMS with this happening. What about the new players? How would elytra work on this new "merged" world?

Why would it work any differently? I feel like everyone has insanely different expectations that aren't being communicated

I would love more tactics in conquest battles, with horses, carts, cannons and stuff, but because of warping that's not really possible. I know there are tactical decisions involved in deciding which module to use, but during the battle, it's mostly up to who kills who. (ok I haven't been in many battles but I know that when there's lots of enemies and you're bad at pvp you die quickly and lose the attack)
