No Plans to Implement Conquest Corruption Water

Make all water at conquest fights corruption I , this would promote less passive gameplay and prevent people from hiding in water taking virtually no damage, further players could still use the water but would have to be more careful and it creates a higher skill ceiling for players to achieve. So many people just run to water and hide in it, me included, as it is simply the best way to avoid death

Those who flee to water can't be in two places at once. Sounds like a great opportunity to push objectives while they aren't there.

In fairness there are supposed to be corrupted water mutators but I think they do a terrible job of existing...

They flee to water, safely repair and refill, and after 15 seconds they can be back on objective. That is OP, and corrupted water would nicely nerf it.
 
I get the reason behind the idea, makes sense, but making a 100% global conquest change to this seems very disproportionate.

Chaotic Evil Idea: Webbed Bolas prevent opening containers... (your hands are too sticky)
 
I do agree with Cryptite here, making all of the water corrupted seems odd. Also, there are tiles where most of it is water, like the Tortuga Ruins tile, this would make it unplayable there. Obviously, it's an exception because not all tiles are legit only water, but I know a lot of tiles that have a crazy amount of water in them and are mostly near the TGen/Inhib.2025-09-23_18.36.40.png

Ok so how about you start getting damage in water if you stay there for an extended ammount of time? @Cryptite

It is not the job of Conquest to strictly decide what players should or shouldn't be doing on the battlefield. All it provides is objectives to win for territorial control and restrictions on things that are generally used for griefing, harassment, etc. Everything else (building walls, traps, letting players just 1v1 each other in the corner, just go invis to steal shulks, etc) is completely in players' hands.

Metas shift all the time on what players choose to do, so like was said, to decide globally that "we don't want players in water" in Conquest is a step too far.

you guys keep forgetting the fact that conquest objective is not kills
its not even that its just alot of people abuse the fact that there is no crits in water to safely refill / repair and run away but ig thats just the game, it just allows boring playstyle but i see the point u and crip made
