We can also face the fact that with how things currently work, someone that has a mechanical macro for sprint spam or even attack spam will be nearly impossible to stop if they're half competent with their potions. Bear in mind, that is not an accusation directed at anyone, just an acknowledgement that they do exist and I've fought plenty of people with them.

After you hit in 1.9, there is a longer cooldown time before you can hit again. I think missing also requires a cooldown time (a tiny time, but longer than what we currently have). There is a thread on 1.9 features that explains it better than I just did.

CPS is the easiest thing to learn how to do. The amount of videos that exist on how to increase it along with the vast number of way to click fast make the argument rather empty.
Maybe I'm too old. It kills my arm/wrist/fingers to get over 7 CPS for extended periods. I've watched all the jitter clicking videos, and I'm thinking my tendons/ligaments/whatever are not up to it (maybe age isn't a factor--maybe it's genetic). I keep trying. After two days of maybe 40-60 minutes of Kohi fighting, my arm has been toast for a day or two. Still, maybe I should slow down and focus more on hitting my opponent.

I'm not so sure anyone can learn to click fast.

Try a different style of jitter clicking? Let me name a few. The one I use is the standard jitter which is your index finger on the left side of the mouse and nothing else. A lot of my buddies butterfly click which is 2 fingers on the left side and 2 on the right while alternating clicks. You can also put your middle finger on the left side or even put 3 fingers on the left side of your mouse. If you can't do one way then try another.

The fact that any of this is a thing is exactly the problem with Minecraft's PvP mechanics. This is why 1.9 is a PvP related update.

Not to mention that 1.9 will remove the "who can click faster?" skill that is all too important in PvP right now.

I apologize if you got the idea that I believe this is the most important skill in PvP. I've been around long enough to know that there is just a little bit more to it than that. The statement I made only points to the fact that "Who can click faster" is not a worthy skill to require people to develop. Replacing it with a system that requires timing and the ability to read your opponents next move is astronomically more interesting and rewarding.
