Hey guys,
As some of you may have noticed, my name is no longer purple; it’s green. That means I’ve stepped down as a Guardian.
I’ve been a Guardian for the last three years and a Dev for five. This all started back during the COVID-19 lockdown, when I suddenly had more free time than I knew what to do with. Out of boredom, I reinstalled Minecraft, a game I hadn’t really touched in over a year. Within a couple of weeks, I applied for a builder position on Loka, at that time, the only server that really existed in my mind. I didn’t expect much to come of it, but to my surprise, the application was accepted.
That moment significantly altered my trajectory with respect to Loka. It was the first time I found myself creating things that others would actually experience. Whether it was Halloween or Christmas quests, new spawn builds, or entire oceans, I was working on something far bigger than myself. And, perhaps even more importantly, I had the opportunity to collaborate with people who were deeply creative, motivated, and full of ideas; individuals who pushed me to do better and think bigger.
After a few years, I realised I wanted to contribute in more holistic ways. Building and development were rewarding, but I wanted to be part of shaping the community, helping to guide ideas rather than implement them. That’s what led me to apply for Sentry, and eventually Guardian, where I spent the majority of my time on Loka. During my time as a Guardian, I resolved nearly 600 reports. That’s 600 moments of listening, investigating, and helping. 600 chances to help and get to know the player-base. Over the years, I’ve seen many faces come and go, and the community has evolved in ways I couldn’t have predicted. It’s strange, realising how few names you still recognise after so long, but it’s not something sad; it just means there are always new players, new stories, and new energy breathing life into the server.
Now, onto the big question: why step down?
The honest answer is that I no longer have the same time or passion I once did. After finishing the Tican Tournament, which was a massive project that took about a year, I realised I’d accomplished what I set out to do. I’ve left a mark I’m proud of. Loka is still an incredible place, but I’ve reached the point where it’s time to move forward. I don’t regret a single moment. The projects, the people, the problem-solving - all of it has shaped me more than I expected. I’ve watched so many players grow, learn new skills, and surprise themselves with what they’re capable of. Never underestimate a dedicated hobbyist. With enough curiosity and effort, you can teach yourself nearly anything.
When I first joined the server in 2017, I had no intention of logging in for a second day. I mostly played with people who, looking back, have all probably been banned at least once. But even then, something about Loka stuck with me: the community and the creativity.
If there’s one message I want to leave behind, it’s this: if you love this server and want to help it grow, you absolutely can. You don’t need permission or a title, just initiative, consistency, and the willingness to learn. It's the players that make Loka, and there’s room for everyone to make their mark.
Thank you guys for the memories, the challenges, the laughs, and the late nights. It’s been an honour to help shape this server alongside you.

EDIT: Wow, thanks for the kind pictures of LeBron and Tom Brady means a lot.
