Reason: Assisting/Benefitting from Freecam
Hello Loka admins and community,
I'm writing down this appeal today to appeal my Loka ban, which comes with a genuine apology to everyone that is affected by my actions. In this appeal, I will be putting out to you all what wrong I did, choices I made and how things have changed since. I want to start by saying that 7 months is nowhere near enough time for what I did, especially because my offense impacted others. I do genuinely believe that I have changed and learned from my wrongdoing. That being said I hope that you would consider this appeal both as an explanation and an apology.
My Actions Leading to the Ban:
I attempted to raid a lot of the town in all the different continents. At some point a friend of mine came along and was using freecam to find an entry into a town. Even as I knew very well what he was doing was wrong and contrary to the rules of Loka, I didn't report him or held him back and benefitted from those actions. By being able to gain from them having freecam, I became an accomplice in their cheating.
My Time Away from Loka:
I've had enough time this last 7 to really think about the actions I have taken. It's a community based on trust, respect, and fairness; Loka is not just another Minecraft server. When that trust is broken, it's not only the admins who are let down but everyone in the player base as well. Now that I am writing this appeal and thinking about the wrongdoing I did I realize how disgusting the actions that I did are. I came to realize that honesty and accountability is really important, and that fairness is the core of what makes Loka special. If given the chance to return, I promise to follow by the rules and never cheat in any way or form no matter how small or insignificant. If I encounter any suspicious activity in the future I will promise to report it immediately.
Apologies:
I want to start off by apologizing to the Loka staff team. I should have prevented my friend from using freecam in the first place. Especially as the owner of the town he was in I should have hold my responsibility and make it clear to not break the rules, instead of benefitting from it myself.
Secondly, I want to apologize to those who have been impacted by my actions. I will be naming them so that they know who they are. The members of Costello and especially kxyzv. I got into a the warroom of Costello by a hole that would never be found without freecam. We also managed to get into the locker of kxyzv and obtain almost all of their items. Sadly, I don't know who specifically got affected by me, but I genuinely want to apologize to kxyzv and those else who got affected by the illegal raid.
Another town that got raided by the use of freecam is Holy Seafire. As I remember it the town didn't have a lot of actives, so it impacted the owner (Hypotemabus) especially. The entry into the town was underground and would also never have been found without the use of freecam. My genuine apologies Hypotemabus.
Conclusion:
In summary, I want to take full responsibility for my actions and the impact they’ve had. I hope that this appeal shows that I genuinely regret my actions and that I am committed to doing better. Regardless of whether this appeal gets accepted, I felt that it was important to apologize to those that are impacted and take responsibility.
