Which rank you are applying for: Sentry
What you think is expected of this rank: To keep the peace and aid in smaller scale problems that Guardians and up don't necessarily have to be involved with. If necessary, to dole out necessary punishments.

In regards to interactions with the community, I believe it is the responsibility of all staff to be as involved as possible on all platforms (discord, forums, and of course in game) whether or not that is answering problems, just giving feedback on ideas, or just being a friendly face and to set an example for the server. Also of course welcoming and aiding new players but that's a responsibility for everyone I believe

Why you think you should become this rank: Even thought I have only recently become involved and active with the community, I believe that I am a mostly (I'm not perfect as much as I say I am in voice chats) good example for the community. While I don't have many skills that can directly aid the server, I have been vocal with ideas and issues for the server and I check the forums every single day.

I encourage the use of as much of what Loka has to offer for everyone and try my best to be a friendly face for all players both new and old. While I have had my share of spats in public chat, I have made amends with those people and now try to keep the peace as much as a little settler boy can. I also have done my best to prevent issues before they happen in voice chats, which I know can't actually be seen but at the least people can vouch for it.

On top of my abilities, I just have a passion for this server and I feel like I need to do all I can to be as involved as possible to better it. Its cheesy and kind of brown nose-y I know but its true. I've been tossing this idea of applying for a while now and I'd be lying if I didn't admit that the announcements of promotions coming up didn't push me to just do this. If it is thought that it is too soon then I'd like this to at least remain and be thought for the next promotion cycle because I would most definitely be applying then.

A list of things that I have accomplished on the server that prove a various amount of my capabilities are:
  1. Host Raffles (which is surprisingly stressful to organize with 5 people throwing their wealth at me while also vomiting the alcohol I just sold them onto my stall)
  2. Aided in the growth and creation of the rapidly growing town of Firsthold (Which is by no means just my doing but together with the other owners we made an amazing little community within the town)
  3. Attempted to calm down arguments and have people come to some understanding of each other
  4. Creating the 32x32 version of Skuhoo's Loka+ pack (albeit a bit slow. I'm still working on it I promise)
  5. Given many ideas that have been implemented or used as the ground work for changes to make Loka a better experience
When you started playing on the server: December 17, 2016, only really became active and started interacting with the community February 11th, 2018 however.
Time zone: EST
How often do you play (hours a day/week): Typically 4 hours a day but it can get closer to 10 hours on days where I can no life like a true mineman
 
+1 Helpful in chat to players from what I've seen. I've heard (no confirmation) that Pear always helps people in town chat which is nice :D
Pear gives me good life advice to be a better person and is good at calming people down and helping them to understand things, but also listens to what people have to say and doesn't just push his own agenda all the time. I think that Pear would be a good sentry because of these reasons
 
This man is a legend and I am sure he will fulfill the duties of this rank at least as well as any other player. If a sentry is meant to be a chat mod, then Pear will be very good at it. With my own personal experience of the Elysian Pact Leadership chat (which can get SLIGHTLY DISORGANIZED OCCASIONALLY) Pear played the job of holding our discussions together very often and keeping the chat under control. I don't think I need to even mention what a great and friendly personality Pear has to the people around him ranging from close friends to new players. My only concern is his addiction to brewing in game alcohol. +1 Pear Point
 
+2 He's always been so so nice to me in and out of Firsthold and makes it a place I want to be in. He's kind and helpful and definitely has qualities of a sentry. Very nice, he's one of the reasons I love playing on this server and stay on this server. Luv u <3
 
From what I’ve seen of Pear, he has a level of maturity which can be hard to find considering the convenience behind it. On the flip side, he’s pretty funny and most certainly meets the standards of a Sentry.
 
I've known Pear for a while now, and I can safely say this man deserves Sentry. He is always thinking of new ideas for the server which can be seen in his forum posts. He also is very active, and he is super nice and friendly even if his puns hurt sometimes. I see Pear as a very contained person with the ability to maintain any situation plus it helps that he is a very chill person to hang out with. +1
 
As a new novice to the addition of the best town, Firsthold- Pear has personally been very inviting, yet heartwarming to a noob like me! I’ve realized that he’s merely the only of these applicants to have a containment of maturity, humor, and administrative knowledge. Hope to see you as sentry!

Pear is a wonderful player and person, I'd love to see him as a Sentry, he has already done a fair bit for the server in terms of suggestions, raffles etc. and I can't wait to see what he does in the future :D
 
Very qualified for the role of Sentry. He is helpful, kind, and approachable - three qualities that Sentries should definitely possess. From my experience in Firsthold, he is dedicated to the server and clearly does his best to help it. Good luck, Pear! +1
 
I have almost literally been with Deceit ever since he had joined the server, and god I am glad that I was able to befriend the guy. Always friendly, and always seems to have new ideas for things. Very deserving of the Sentry role, imo. +1
 
Oh totally. Pear is mature and friendly, active in game and also shows interest in lore. He’d be a great Sentry.

Pear has what it takes, I’ve never seen him be toxic ever and he’s always been helpful. Even after fights when he loses he only ever says gg and that’s good. He’s been helpful to the community and has truly deserved his rank. Even though we’re on different sides of Loka, I still respect him and consider him good material

Didn't actually expect to get this this promotion period. Thank you everyone for your support and thank you to Loka as a whole for being the best community I have ever found on a minecraft server. You all motivate me to do all that I do as corny as that sounds. Congratulations to everyone and remember to never stay quiet about your ideas. The community will be better for it <3
