Current rank: Settler / Builder

Which role you are applying for: Pve Dev.

Why you think you should become this role: I am a builder, yes, but I have always been more interest by game mechanics such as quest or skills than building. This may seems contradictory, since I spent a lot of time building a giant desert library recently. But my recent contributions to the quest system proves my point. I have created multiple forum posts about features idea for the quest system (https://lokamc.com/forums/index.php?threads/some-suggestions-for-the-quest-system.4749/, and https://lokamc.com/forums/index.php?threads/some-more-suggestions-for-the-quest-system.4775/ ) and bug reports (« here are some bugs I found within the quest system », along with its Edition 2, and an upcoming Edition 3). Also, I have been developing a massive quest network closely related to the ranks and hierarchical organization of my town (Sandsete), which you can view a brief summary here : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NuA1wwVKkPgtKZiXjBR9dM3dZOyQQUztLIG0YcoV1Ac/edit?usp=sharing, along with an in-development quest list here : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GBqLocYE_oestCZfNDAIrACntDQck1AYV80v1s2q384/edit?usp=sharing . I also been working on using the quest system features to create a unique questing experience, like using a gathering redstone dust objective and making multiple floating location for the redstone, thus creating a blood trail that leads you to a recent grave (no spoilers...), or using discoverable quest and a named location, with autocomplete and accept quest reward, to serve as a quest line starter for special quest, like hearing a rumour in a street somewhere in sandsete (again, no spoilers...). These are example of how far I am willing to push the quest system to make my ideas come true and twist it depending on the needs, either it’s guild managing, or for a maze with mechanics as part of a lore quest, and I would like to be able to apply this knowledge I gain through experiments, to official quest and cool lore stories, or what ever need. I am pationed about rpg mechanics such as custom stats for items or a skill system. In my free time, I used to try and reproduce mechanics from video games into minecraft vanilla using command blocks contraptions. Such as summoning invis. and untouchable armour stands on (riding) mobs which are in a 50 block radius of a player, and playing a particle animation when the armour stand isn’t riding it anymore (mob died), to reproduce SAO’s death animation. I’m currently learning to code plugins to do more advanced mechanics. Point is, I love loka as a server and I want to use those tools and ideas to make loka better in any way possible. That’s why I think I should become a pve dev. I want to share my ideas and be able to help bring features to life on this server.

When you started playing on the server:
January 15, 2017

Time zone: EDT/EST

How often do you play (hours a day/week):
When I have a goal in mind and that I am inspired, I can be online 5+ hours a day. In the last week, I have been working on stuff for my town (The Great Sandsete Library!) for easily 45 hours. This time might be a lot less in the upcoming weeks (school and sport), but it’s a proof that I dedicate myself for projects that inspire.

Favourite NPC on Loka: Gotta be Omar, NPC in our town, with a blood stained past and crippling addiction to sand.

Example of a quest you would write if you were accepted: A quest where you hear about this artifact thing, and investigate. After asking NPCs around and finding it, you would have to kill yourself by jumping of a certain cliff to test it’s function by yourself, except before respawning, you experience a strange vision of a distant world ravaged by a strange sickness (blight) and a menacing obelisk. You then respawn normally with the quest finishing with your character thinking something like “this artifact sure has strange powers” or something similar. Thought it was a cool way to introduce player to some Loka lore.
