Both of these use the mechanics of boats as provided by Mojang and does not use bugs or other flaws in the game.

You would be using boats like a block you could place in any protected area. That's a bug, plain and simple.

Thread revival again? I've been told that using boats to travel through solid blocks is considered glitching, but stacking is allowed. I assume that boarding a boat through a window(opening, not pane or glass) would be allowed but on top of a roof is clearly travelling through a solid block.
