Galaxy 4 Sentry! Reeee

I had a similar feeling to Pear here. I've had the pleasure of having Gal as an ally, an enemy, and a fellow town member for a brief time. Despite this, I haven't had any close interactions and so I haven't seen any of the lows described above and find it hard to picture him behaving as such. That said, I haven't seen any specific highs either, things like welcoming intro players, showing them around and providing answers to general questions in public chat. I'm just not confident that being "not bad" is enough to bring about a promotion to Sentry. So I pull the indecisive +0.

I think it would be best if people giving -1s and +1s also gave arguments instead of shallow statements. Saying Galaxy is good because Galaxy is great or Galaxy is bad because Galaxy is terrible doesn't share any meaningful information.

Please don't make any pointless statements. Pear took the time to develop his position. He said that Galaxy doesn't have any outstanding high or low points, so he deserves to stay at the rank he's at. You, on the other hand, don't have any noticeable purpose behind your comment, and you added a solid +0 at the end of it. If you don't have any useful information to put towards the thread, please don't add anything.

On the contrary, I find this post to be very valuable. It shows and supports Pear's post in backing up the fact that some people don't feel there is ample evidence of Galaxy actually acting the part (of a would-be sentry). Generally people who make sentry are often found in public chat/intro chat assisting new players, helping them with questions, etc.

That said, I'd interpret "an indecisive +0" as a -1, but we also don't pay much attention to the +1/-1 math on these posts. We look to what people say, not how many numbos they give.
 
From my experience as a moderator, I've learned that you need to know when to be serious, and when it's alright to joke around. I feel that Gal would make a good moderator as long as he knows this. +1
 
To add to my application, about not explaining the server to new people. I agree with everyone I dont do this very often. I would say explaining is a weak point, but I do always try and welcome new players when I'm online and try and will attempt at answer questions if nobody else has.
This is something I will definitely try and work on.
 
I haven't known Galaxy for long, but I do know that he cares about this server a lot. He's a super friendly guy to everyone even if he doesn't know them too well. I mean, he was always cool to me before I got to know him. I luckily got to get close to him recently, and I think he's a great guy. I haven't heard him really talk bad about anyone. Also, I like to say, sure, Galaxy may have people he doesn't like, but I believe he can hold responsibility for putting his personal feelings aside in order to do good for the server he loves so much. For that, I give a +1.

have been on galaxys side and against him, never really talked to the kid but he seems chill enough, unfortunately he killed me in conquest once so
