No Plans to Implement Gankmas Prox Chat

I think for Gankmas Proximity chat should be added, Because itll be very funny and crowded Cause alot of people will go to Cove I think Its a good idea to add prox chat like with simple voice chat mod, And just have people vanished moderating it Or some shit Its a good idea, And i think noone will say anything bad like racial slurs cause people know they can get banned But yes this should be added for gankmas Let's Go Guys!

people that choose to download the mod know what the risks are, and by the looks of it most of the people that will be showing up will be long time lokans and wouldnt do anything stupid like being racist as they would just get banned

half of the ppl wont even use it cuz theres ppl who dont know english and would yap in other language

Then the people who don't know english might say bad words towards someone in their native language that the staff + members maybe won't understand even if it gets clipped.

not rly reason enough reject adding prox chat for gankmas if the only worry is someone saying bad words in some random language nobody knows and it effects no1 + people who download the mod know what theyre signing up for anyone who downloads a prox chat mod probably has clipping

We will not be allowing this for Gankmas. There are far too many downsides with the the biggest one being that even if it was a minor success, there would be consistent expectations and requests to allow it in the future which we have no plans for.

It's a moderation nightmare and practically nobody wants to deal with those reports. Players are already in VCs to do ganks, so the only reason to speak in prox chat on a gank isle would almost guaranteed be trash talk and there's next to no way that's not going to spin out of control.

but as berd said people know what they are going into and are responsible for downloading the mod and they know they would get clipped so obviously they wouldnt say anything bad, but there will probably be soft toxicity thats it it would be very entertaining and i think everybody agrees

You speak of the veterans and the players who care enough. What about all the people who don't care at all also having access to it? One person screaming slurs just because they have a one-off opportunity to Do A Thing when surrounded by 50 players is one person too many.

obviously if people who arent veterans like the server they wouldnt do such thing im sure they care enough abt the server
