No Plans to Implement Go back to the old host (From December 2024-June 2025)

The new host is a significant hardware upgrade that wasn't available on our old host. Going back to the old host would mean worse performance during big fights while also costing more. The recent changes to ping for some players is a result from us adding much better ddos protection, which I hope most people can understand is necessary.

has there been any big fights recently (such as 200v200) so we can compare performance with the current host and the old one?

No two fights are the same and we didn't have fight sharding or other recent optimizations on the old host so it's hard to make a direct comparison but the new hardware has ~20% faster single-thread performance, so theoretically a fight that would previously run at ~16.5tps would instead run at 20tps.

ah i see

i understand why you guys switched hosts but im a bit salty my ping multiplied by 6
