Hello, lokans!
Today, I was just chatting in general, as I sometimes do whenever im not at school or asleep, and when I asked if a mod (better hitreg) was allowed to be used on Loka, I sent a modrinth link to make sure I got the right mod. Thankfully, I got a helpful answer, and then jokingly afterwards, I sent another “Is this mod allowed” message, where I sent a link to doomsday client. Apparently, because I sent a link to it, instead of just saying doomsday in plaintext, this was not acceptable to the mods, and I got muted. I do understand how could this potentially be bad if newer players see it and click on it, but I - along with many other players have jokingly talked about hacked clients, and I just don’t get why sending the link constitutes a mute, and correct me if im wrong, I don’t see it anywhere in the server rules, but I do understand the mods work very hard to constitute a safe environment to loka, so I have been told to make an appeal which lead me to making this.
Sorry for taking up your time, and as a random who has been largely inactive due to school, I was a little embarrassed that I had to be making this appeal, but overall, despite being largely inactive since I joined loka in 2024 (on an old dc account, but still on loka dc), I do enjoy playing it and since I turned 15, I have been able to understand and enjoy it more, and one of the things I liked the most was chatting with other members in the server, since it was always a nice and friendly environment, so I do apologise for doing what I did, and wasting your time, and I hope you can all forgive me, and I can get back to chatting.
(Just to clarify, I am only muted in the discord server, not on the minecraft server thankfully)
I hope you have a good rest of day, ranked season, and Go forth
