I have a question regarding the current town hopper limit, which is currently set to 500 per town.
I understand that this limit was likely introduced to reduce lag and prevent performance issues during fights, especially when large numbers of hoppers are loaded in active areas. However, since fights are now sharded, I was wondering if this is still as much of a concern as it used to be.
As a town owner, I notice that 500 hoppers is not always enough. For example, our brewer alone already uses around half of the available hopper limit, which leaves very little room for other systems or future town expansion.
Because of this, I was wondering if there are any plans to increase the hopper limit in the future, or if the current limit could be reconsidered. With fights now being sharded and overall server performance having improved over time, it seems that the original reasons for the current limit may no longer apply to the same extent.
One idea could be to make hopper capacity scale with the town level system. For example, higher-level towns could gradually unlock additional hoppers. Since town levels currently don’t provide many benefits beyond unlocking additional industry slots, this could make town progression feel more rewarding while giving established towns a bit more room to expand their infrastructure.
