Industry Buildings Help

Some of you have expressed interest in helping to build Industry buildings. Builds are one of the biggest reasons there haven't been any new industries lately (Also, obviously working on Territories).

If you wish to lend a hand, take what you've seen from our current two industries (Logging and Cooking), and try to retain the Nordic theme that those buildings embody. When you're happy, post screenshots on this thread for critique. Builds should be mostly wood and stone and feature similar Nordic features like the roof decorations that the Tavern has, for example.

Next up is the Barn (Farming)
  • Barns will be as large if not a little bigger than the Tavern. The barn should feature a good number of pens in which you can house one of each type of passive mob that has a loot table (meaning no horses, bats, etc). Additionally the barn should feature a single chest somewhere that is where the farm animal loot will be placed when it spawns. Use of hay, wood, fences, etc should be prevalent in the build.
Note that if the build does not meet the level of quality you might find in, say, the Pub at spawn, I won't use the build. Please put some effort into your builds before posting on this thread. That said, I appreciate the help, and good luck!

No more than 20 in any direction. The tavern, btw, is 18x13x13. But the Arcanum should probably not be quite as big as the Tavern. The Barn (farming) could probably rival or be bigger than the Tavern.

Needs more accent on the enchanting table. From what I can tell he wants something to really draw attention to the table. I like the simplicity of the building though. It breaks the mold from some of the other concepts.

I agree. The design is great, but it could be a little bigger so that we can truly accent the enchanting table. Otherwise, love the work so far!

Iv built this Arcanum...[2nd Attempt]

  • No bookshelf touches the range of Enchantment Table, so all the bookshelf are just as decor.
  • The structure is | 17 x17 | wide, if counting from roof side to other roof side, and 12.5 Blocks high. The building itself, is something like 9x9 wide, without leafs.
  • The Enchanting table is surrounded with someting like a glowing red claw, to make it stand out.
  • Has 4 enterances from all sides, so the building is easly accessible from all sides in town, to speed up running to it, enchanting and going away.

I'm hesitant about what I assume is glowstone above the table that's suspended by that fence post. I only say something because I know glowstone looks crappier (or, doesn't look like a lamp at all) in other texture packs. I would advise switching it out for a real redstone lamp and making the necessary adjustments to hiding the redstone torch (upside-down stairs around it, for example).

Second, I also gather that the inside walls are 100% bookshelves without any variation. Perhaps you could add some variation to that, perhaps in terms of Planks. It might be alright as is, but I do know that seeing that many straight bookshelves could be a little boring.

Other than that, still love it!

Can't promise when it'll be in game as Territories is in development more than anything else at the moment.

Will Squids/ small slimes give loot too?
