Hello Lokans, I hope you're all having an amazing day/night. My name is Karma, and I was banned around 6 months ago for “Hacking/Bypassing SS.” Since my ban, I've started to really miss playing Loka with my friends, even though I was never really good at it. My last appeal was rushed and not thoughtful at all, so with this appeal I want to take my time to explain everything in as much detail as possible. Please also understand that I don’t want to take responsibility for things that I did not do, such as hacking or purposely bypassing ss.
Firstly, I want to address the hacking part of my ban. I want to make it extremely clear that I was NOT cheating on Loka intentionally, and by cheating I don’t mean using a client like “doomsday” or “meteor client.” When I got ss’ed, I was very surprised and assumed that I had been falsely flagged for something. I genuinely never thought I’d get banned for using hacks on Loka. A day or two prior to my ss and ban, I had installed 4 different mods by the names of “Packet Fixer,” “No Input Lag Tick Rate,” “Dokkos Hotbar Optimizer,” and “0 Delay Optimizer.” When installing these mods, I did not think at all to check if they were allowed on Loka, and for that I am sorry. I suspect that these mods had something to do with me being flagged since I had been getting kicked/banned from other servers (McPvP, Minemen) ever since I installed them. I shrugged these bans off because I thought I was getting false flagged for some odd reason. I have learned that I need to be more careful with what mods I add to my mods folder when playing on a server like Loka, which has such intricate rules. Since I got flagged and then could not be ssed, there was no way for me to prove that I was not cheating, but now I have the evidence.
Next, I want to address the bypassing ss part of my ban. I was not trying to bypass this screen share, as I did not realize I was going to be ss’ed (obviously). I have proof that the services turned off were done by a debloating tool and not by me. There is a service called EXM, and EXM aims to optimize/debloat your PC for better performance and better input delay on Fortnite. I'll leave a link to their Discord and website at the bottom of my appeal. EXM’s tweaking utility has the option to turn off diagnostics, error reporting, telemetry, and autologgers. I genuinely had no idea that this would somehow lead to me getting banned in Loka of all things. I asked what777 if this utility could have turned off these services, to which he did not know. I understand that I messed up by doing this, but I hope the admins can understand that I never thought or knew that this would somehow mess with a screen share. Please understand I don’t want to be labeled as a hacker, and I think it would be easier to get unbanned if I was hacking, since I could just admit it, but this ban has put me in a difficult situation. Also, the services were disabled at different times because I ran the respective modules at different times, since the tool has different sections for different topics, as you can see in the screenshot. The timeline somehow lined up with the time I ran doomsday. It's just a big coincidence. I was barely playing at the time, and I was also in stone.
Furthermore, I want to address the “Traces of meteor client and dooms day” found in my Loka instance. I first want to say that the meteor client and doomsday versions were not even the proper version to be able to be used on Loka. The latest version installed on doomsday was 1.21.4, and meteor client was 1.21.0, I think. I was not using them for Loka, obviously. In this paragraph, I also want to address the fact that if the screen share were to have taken place, I would not have been banned for cheating, but instead for illegal mods. Unfortunately, this is a series of unfortunate events.
Lastly, I want to apologize to the Loka admins and players for using the illegal mods. I am very sorry, and I have removed those mods from my Loka instance, as well as re-enabled superfetch, diagtrack, and sysmain. I promise to be more careful and do more research before downloading mods and turning off services that might be important. I hope that the Loka community can forgive me and give me another chance.
