Pretty simple, yet genius idea, with numerous benefits.
First of all, some loka players simply enjoy getting better and better times, just like many do on the aladran parkours, and the riptide something swimming race. So it would be very nice to have all of the races available year round and be able to compete with others on them too. Secondly, making boat races a part of what Loka offers for players, could potentially help the server with marketing, attracting people whos main game mode is ice boat racing. And lastly, it would give people a chance to practise these gamemodes, for future competitions on Halloween and Yuletide.
Tl;dr: more races -> very cool, less races -> not so cool
