When you started playing on the server: December 14, 2016
What you think is expected of this rank: I think this position exists to keep Loka running smoothly and to resolve issues that come up that need attention from an admin. This rank keeps an eye on bug reports, assists all players when they need it, solves disputes, upholds the rules that have been set in place, and drop the ban hammer (after a warning of course haha) on those who don't comply with them. I think a Guardian has to be a mature person that is able to see issues from multiple lenses, someone that is not easily frustrated, and someone who genuinely wants to help Loka, and it's community, grow. I also think a Guardian should be one that other players can look up to in some ways as an example in the community as a whole.
Why you think you should become this rank: The more time I spend around Loka the more I realize what a massive project it is and have grown to really respect and appreciate the unpaid work the administrators put in to keep this unique and awesome server balanced and prosperous. One of the biggest reasons I want to join the team is because of the respect I have for those on the team and to lighten their burden in any way that I can. I believe I have put forth effort in helping the server as much as my rank will allow and would relish the opportunity to contribute more. I believe having more Guardians would assist in guiding newer players in getting to know the uniqueness of Loka and facilitate them contributing their own unique perspectives to the server. Though I haven't been on the server for years, I do think I can bring maturity and insight to the administrative team and would be an asset to them.
How often do you play (hours a day/week): I typically play around 2-4 hours a day and more on the weekends. I am always around via discord and would be available to fix issues people have at any given time. Currently I am in grad school and can easily switch from studying to Loka at the drop of a hat. I am also on really late into the night when there are not any guardians around so, if I were promoted, we could have less time in a given day when an admin is not around.
