I am writing this suggestion in regards to the current unbalanced nature of Totems of Undying on Loka, and potential solutions to the issue. Both myself and a large portion of the community seem to think that totems are too overpowered in their current form. With their recent inflation on the market, many (usually already talented) players have begun bringing large quantities of totems to fights, which is causing them to become a lot harder to kill than they already would be. For the average player, or those who do not have totems, it makes fighting feel unfair, unfun and it is downright demotivating to fight againt certain players that you know will just use the safety net of being able to spam totems and not die. Totems, in my opinion, are killing what makes PvP on Loka fun- high intensity, high risk, and balanced, but with totems, that is genuinely being threated and there is 0 downside to having a totem in a fight.
In terms of nerfing totems, there are a number of procedures that could be taken to make them more balanced in PvP:
A) Adding a cooldown to usage of Totems of Undying. Right now people are able to spam as many totems as possible, so effectively being almost invincible. The cooldown, in my opinion, should be no less than 10m.
B) Making totems a lot rarer to obtain. Right now they are far too easy to get and people have a lot of them, with their prices being incredibly cheap. This once again creates the issue of them being spammed out during fights and making it extremely hard to kill someone.
C) Making totems punish the user upon use. This could be done in a variety of ways, for example a long duration of irreversable debuffs or losing a heart per usage for the rest of the fight.
D) Removing totems altogether. I personally believe this is too far but it is certainly an option.
I personally believe making them rarer + a long cooldown between uses would be optimal for balancing totems. I am also open to others' thoughts in the replies!
