Suggestion No more spawnkilling

Once you've been killed, and the enemy are in your portal room, they'll start repetitively slaughtering you and your town members for your heads, and for their stat tracking weapons to look better.

This is just one example of spawnkilling I've seen recently (most of them happen to be by the Valyrian ski resort for some reason).

To deter players from spawnkilling, I think there should be a cooldown for stat tracking weapons after killing someone once, and the same for beheading.
And maybe even a negative effect on stat tracking weapons, such as killing someone during the cooldown could take away the original kill.
Of course, there may be some situations where the cooldown may not be effective; such as if the killed player grabs some more armour and weapons and starts fighting again. If possible, the cooldown could take into consideration whether or not the player has armour and weapons or not, and may speed up or slow down depending on that.

I at least think spawnkilling should be addressed somehow.

If someone is able to get into your base they have full right to raid what they can get.
If anything your best option would be to log out and hope for the enemy to just leave with what they've got.
I don't know if this idea would solve it but if the enemy could log out in your town or would get sent back to spawn? That would at least mean you know its safe to return to avoid dying over and over

I know you can't stop players from spawnkilling if they can, and there would be many ways to avoid spawnkilling, but what I'm suggesting is to discourage it. My suggested nerfs would also make kills more valuable to have on a stat tracking sword, and also heads.

Spawn killing is a weird issue. If you're smart you'll appreciate that there is ways to trap players fairly easily in Loka and that the game is heavily in favour of defenders.

I don't think Loka needs to implement any form of spawn killing balance as if a town is designed well and properly it won't happen.

Loka is simplistic at its core in terms of how to make buildings safe.

fair enough.
But I still think there should be no motive to spawnkill, not that player's can't.

If we're considering the purpose of spawn killing to gain heads and kill count on swords the obvious way to patch this would just be to stop counting these kills after day three or so. This would kind of take away from pillaging in a sense a lot though; really the server doesn't mind spawn killing whatsoever is what I've gathered. Realistically a conversation should be taken up with magpie or crypt if you would like a rule change in reference to spawn killing as they'll probably explain why it's allowed the way it is currently

The valyrians also spawnkilled in Volterra, and I don't think they're allies
(I just don't have proof of it)

I know the incident you're talking about, but there's a difference between spawn killing and killing someone who keeps coming back and attacking you.

True, maybe if a player who is not attacking is being spawnkilled, no kills are added to the stat tracking weapon.
But if the player attacks first, the kill counts

Volterra and Valyria are far from allies. I have them set as hostile. They just came there because they were bored and such. And yes, I was trying to defend myself. They were still following the rules.

The original post was in regards to a screenshot of Valyria and Stormgarde members repeatedly killing each other. The comment was about them being allies, not them with you.
